Previously he was associated with Swiss Re, where he led teams and units across various functions, including Technical Accounting, Finance, and Governance.

He is a forward-thinking person with in- depth understanding in Reinsurance business value chain and a successful people, process/systems and operations leader working across functions and geography. Currently at Lotus he wears multiple hats as a Trainer, Recruiter, and Consultant in the insurance/ reinsurance industry. He is a university 1st rank holder in M. Com, a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, a NET qualified Assistant Professor and he has also earned the International PG Diploma in Risk Management from IIRM.

An astute professional with 23 years’ experience in the Reinsurance domain, 20 years being at Swiss Re. Excellent leadership skills demonstrated across multiple roles in Technical Accounting & Claims Operations and Operational Excellence. Instrumental in implementation of Business Process Design & Management framework, Robotic Process Automation solutions and Process Simplification initiatives aimed at improving service delivery across geographies. Accomplished individual with analytical and deep dive abilities, eye for detail and high level of customer orientation.

3 years at a German IT solutions firm as Functional RI Consultant for implementing SAP FS-RI. Expertise in requirements gathering, drafting functional specification documents, testing and user training.

Anand is a Commerce graduate and Certified Associate member from the Insurance Institute of India.

L.K.Y. Rao

A professional with 23 years of experience dotted with success in various operational roles with Swiss Re and Peak Re. After leading Reinsurance technical accounting operations in both Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) domains, he is leading L&H post binding team for Asia markets.

With a strong focus on employee engagement, talent acquisition, and development, he has successfully built and led high-performing operational teams while effectively managing stakeholders across global and multicultural environments. Embracing challenges with a proactive mindset, he has taken on demanding roles and driven strategic, organization-wide initiatives, including change management, to foster growth and adaptability. His approach is centered on continuous improvement and cost optimization, ensuring operational efficiency. Backed by sound judgment and strategic decision-making, he has successfully planned and executed seamless business transitions, contributing to sustainable success and organizational excellence.
